GoddardISOUTH DAYTON:  Ivan “Ike” E. Goddard, 84, of Cottage Road, South Dayton, died Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at TLC/HN-Nursing Facility, Irving.  He was born in Washington, OH, on January 19, 1931, the son of the late Frank and Maci (Cline) Goddard.

He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Goddard worked as a Millwright for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., Lackawanna, for 33 years retiring in 1983 and was a former Highway Superintendent for the Town of Dayton.  He was an avid motorcyclist, bluebird watcher and former beef farmer.

Survivors include his wife Frieda I. Goddard of South Dayton, whom he married October 3, 1951, in Collins Center, two sons Bruce (Judy) Goddard, of Oconomowoc, WI, David Goddard, of Chicago, IL, two daughters, Cyndi (Al) Lindquist, of Forestville and Ginny Smith, of Bostic, NC.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Doris Vogtli and 2 brothers Franklin & Randall Goddard.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, with Rev. Kenneth Pratt, pastor of the Cherry Creek Assembly of God Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Cottage Cemetery.
