FREDONIA: Kenneth R. Owen, 70, of Brigham Road, Fredonia, died Friday, December 4th, 2015 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Buffalo, on April 26, 1945, and is the son of the late LeGrand and Jane (nee Murszewski) Owen. Mr. Owen was a graduate of Bishop Turner High School and served in the Army National Guard.
Mr. Owen worked for the former Arcata Graphics/Quebecor in Depew for 40 years and was a past president of the Graphic Communications International Union (GCIU) Local 17-B. He was a member of the Silver Creek Fireman’s Club, the West Seneca American Legion Post #735 and was a lifetime member of Gowanda American Legion Post #409. He was an avid gardener, woodworker, especially building bird houses, loved animals and his dogs.
Survivors include a son, Todd (Claudia) Owen, a daughter, Robin (Ron) McNeill, both of Washington, DC, his loving companion Donna Ostrye of Fredonia and four grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Owen was predeceased by two brothers Thomas & Clifford Owen.
