Obituary Notice – Carole I. Meadows

FREDONIA:  Carole I. Meadows, 80, of Chautauqua Road, Fredonia, formerly of Forestville died Saturday, January 9th, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s and a short illness of pneumonia, with her family by her side.  She was born in Silver Creek, on November 12, 1940, the daughter of the late Gerard “Bill” and Irene (Slawinski) Kniese.

  Carole was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1960 and worked as a Patient Care Assistant with the WCA Home, Fredonia, for over 20 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and knitting & crocheting.

  Survivors include a son Sterling Langford of Fredonia, two daughters, Renee (Jose) Perez, of Denver, CO; Lisa (Lloyd) Pasinski, of Fredonia; two brothers, David (Carol) Kniese, of Batavia; and Ronald Kniese, of Fredonia.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by a nephew Kevin Kniese.

  Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private.

  The family suggests memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6 Williamsville, NY 14221.

    We would like to offer our condolences on your loss. Dorene was Irene’s home care aid on weekends for several years
