SILVER CREEK: Kathleen R. Huffman, 85, of West Main Road, Silver Creek, died Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 in the Town of Hanover. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Gedert) Briggs.
Kathleen was a graduate of the former Burnham High School, Class of 1953 in Sylvania, Ohio and was the former owner of the Village Inn, Silver Creek, for 39 years. She was a former member of the Grape Festival Committee in Silver Creek.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen R. Koopman, of Silver Creek; two sons William (Rhonda) Farnsworth, of Humble, Texas; John H. Huffman, of Silver Creek; and a sister, Patricia Powell Mockler, of Schwenksville, PA. Also surviving are longtime family friend Gina Love of Silver Creek and longtime family friend & former employee Sandy Woods of Derby, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John I. Huffman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, time and place to be announced.
