DUNKIRK: Adeline “Peasie” G. Windsor, 92, of North Main Street, Dunkirk, formerly of Forestville, died Friday, December 1st, 2017 at Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab Center, Dunkirk, following a short illness. She was born in Corry, PA on January 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Harrison W. and Ethel M. (Samples) Belding.
Mrs. Windsor worked as a Housekeeper in the area for 35 years, retiring in 1995. She was a 52 year member of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, a member of R.S.V.P., Dunkirk, was a volunteer for the Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry, Forestville and secretary for the tenants association, Dunkirk. She loved her church, where she was very active & her family. Mrs. Windsor was a loved surrogate mom & grandmother.
Survivors include four daughters, June (John) Rennie, of Baytown, TX; Brenda Antolini, of Forestville; Debbie (Douglas) Day, of Ellington; and Gloria J. Windsor, of Dunkirk. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Clifford E. Windsor, whom she married on July 18, 1942 in the Forestville Wesleyan Parsonage and who died April 16, 2010, by 4 sons Clifton E. Windsor, Jr., Dennis, Leslie & Donald Windsor and 2 sisters Roberta Woodard & Leona Bosworth.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Forestville Wesleyan Church, 9603 Prospect Road, Forestville, with Rev. Bruce M. Ellis, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Forestville Cemetery.
