SILVER CREEK: Edward O. Clark, 94, of Angell Road, Silver Creek, died Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at the Absolut Care of Dunkirk. He was born in the Town of Stockton, on June 5, 1923. He was the son of the late George and Augusta (Herzog) Clark.
Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a former member of the South Dayton American Legion Post #1593, for 20 years, and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife Margaret M. (Rugg) Clark, of VA, whom he married in December of 1964, three daughters, Nancy Setlock, of Phoenix, AZ; Judy Cramer, of Hornell, NY; Marie Hammond, of Erie, PA; three sons Greg Clark, of Vancouver, British Columbia; Wayne Phillips, of Bristol, VA; Thomas Clark, of Fonda, NY. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Georgia Rice Clark and by 2 sisters Harriet Manor and Thelma Jackett.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday morning at 11 o’clock from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Carol Dill, pastor of the South Dayton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Randolph Cemetery. Military Services will be conducted by members of the South Dayton American Legion Post #1593, in the funeral home.
