FORESTVILLE: Robert B. Carroll, Sr., 85, of Pearl Street, Forestville, passed away Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at Seneca Manor, West Seneca. He was born in Buffalo on September 29, 1930, the son of the late Llewellyn and Evelyn (Wagner) Carroll.
Mr. Carroll served in the Army National Guard from 1948-1956. He worked as a Machinist for the former ITT Standard in Buffalo, for 40 years. Mr. Carroll was an avid runner, belonging to the Checkers AC Running Club (running in multiple marathons) and biker.
Survivors include two sons Robert (Rebecca) Carroll, Jr., of Bar Harbor, ME; David (Catherine) Carroll, of Tonawanda; five daughters, Joanne (Steven) Chestna, of Boston, MA; Shirley (James) Shevlin, Jr., of Silver Creek; Mary Theresa Carroll, of Forestville; Judith (Jill) Carroll, of Seattle, WA; Kathleen (Eric) Reynolds, of West Seneca; two brothers, Douglas (Nora) Carroll, of Buffalo and Brian Carroll, of Hamburg. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Theresa M. (Molloy) Carroll, whom he married on May 15, 1954 in Buffalo and who died March 15, 1991, a daughter Mary Evelyn Carroll and a brother Stuart Carroll.
There will be no visitation observed. A Catholic Burial Service will be held Saturday afternoon, May 21st at 2 o’clock from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn, pastor of Faith Community Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Rose of Lima RC Church officiating.

Sorry for your loss,it breaks my heart to see him pass this way.We worked and ran together daily for 25 years,till he retired.He helped put me on a path to a healthier life,and for that I will be forever grateful.We ran many shamrock runs together and i have great memories of them.He was a great man and great friend he will be missed.
