Marion Lucy (Valvo) Heaney, age 94, formerly of Forestville, Greenport, NY, Florida & Texas died September 19, 2012 in Texas. Mrs. Heaney was born on December 19, 1917.
She was a native of Forestville, where she attended school, and later taught second & third grades. After marrying her late husband, William F. Heaney in 1952, she resided and taught in his hometown of Greenport, NY, for over 30 years. Mrs. Heaney then retired to Texas and then Florida and returned to Texas in her later years.
Survivors include 3 children, her brother Henry Valvo of Forestville and a sister Rose (Valvo) Benson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Central Avenue, Silver Creek, at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn, officiating. Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery.
