FORESTVILLE: Mary L. Kujawa, 80, of Rt. 39, Forestville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born in Silver Creek, on November 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Stanley and Minnie (Hazelton) Panek.
She was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1952 and worked as a Head Bartender for the former Lake Shore Marine Club, Town of Sheridan. Mrs. Kujawa also at one time worked for the former Silk Factory & Canning Factory in Forestville and co-owned & operated a Dairy & Grape Farm on Rt. 39, Forestville with her late husband Edmund C. Kujawa, whom she married November 10, 1956 in the former St. John Bosco RC Church, Sheridan and who died August 27, 2014. She was a social member of Sheridan VFW Memorial Post #6390 and loved to read & work in her garden.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia (Tom Kingsley) Kujawa, of Forestville, a sister, Winifred Jacobs, of Sheridan and a brother, William (June) Panek, of Fredonia. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by an infant brother.
There will be no visitation observed. Graveside Services will be held Saturday afternoon, August 1st at 1 o’clock in Sheridan Center Cemetery, Center Road, Sheridan. Please bring a special picture or remembrance if you have one. A Memorial gathering will follow at the Sheridan VFW Memorial Post #6390 at 2 o’clock.
