Obituary Notice – Alice R. Redband

ROCHESTER:  Alice R. Redband, 94, of Denice Road, Rochester, formerly of Fredonia, died Tuesday, June 30th, 2015 at Hildebrandt Hospice Health Care Center, Rochester.  She was born in Meadville, PA on September 8, 1920, the daughter of the late Claude and Josephine (Baldwin) Hines.

Mrs. Redband was a Pet Groomer and owner of the former Alice Redband Pet Grooming Fredonia., for 18 years, retiring in 1986.  She was a member of Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church Fredonia, and loved dogs, knitting, crocheting and her family.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Carol) Redband, of Batavia and a daughter, JoAnne Van Buskirk, of Rochester.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren Julie (Nathan) Varland, Thomas, Timothy, Lisa, Jeffrey Redband and Brandon Van Buskirk, 4 great grandchildren, 1 niece & 2 nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Arthur F. Redband, Jr., who died January 21, 2010 and by a brother Frederick LeBarron.

Private Interment was in Sheridan Center Cemetery.  Memorial Services will be held Saturday morning, August 8th at 11 o’clock from Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church, 39 Matteson Street, Fredonia.  Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home Forestville.  To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.
