Obituary Notice- Marguerite M. Fancher

FancherMFORESTVILLE:  Marguerite M. Fancher, 77, of Rt. 39, Forestville, died Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at her residence, following a 1 year courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Oil City, PA on February 10, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Carson) Ralston.

She owned & operated the former Mar Bob Craft Center, Forestville, for 25 years, was a long time member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church and attended the Silver Sneakers exercise class in Dunkirk.  Mrs. Fancher enjoyed flower gardening, camping, attending Music in the Park events, yard sales and was an excellent cook.

Survivors include her husband Robert D. Fancher of Forestville, whom she married 60 years ago on February 7, 1955, in Winchester, Virginia, a son Randall Fancher, of Brocton, a daughter, Vicki Fancher, of North Tonawanda, two more sons, Robert (Samantha) Fancher, of Brocton, Richard (Michelle) Fancher, of Honolulu, Hawaii and a sister, Joyce Ann Ralston-Delo, of Meadville, PA.  Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces & nephews.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from where Funeral Services will be held Friday morning, at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Molly Golando, of Westfield United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Sheridan Center Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the Sheridan Fire Dept., PO Box 122, Sheridan, NY 14135 or to the Charity of one’s choice.  To post condolences go to

    Bob, We are so sorry for your loss. We thought the world of her and you. You were such good neighbors to Bruce’s mom and dad. Sorry we did not get to the funeral home. Conflict of schedules. And the weather. We will be praying for you and the family. Praying for God’s comfort in this time of sadness.
