NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL: Lyle L. Stanbro, Sr., formerly of Forestville, passed away in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was born on February 24, 1937 in Franklinville NY, son of the late Roy and Mamie Stanbro.
Mr Stanbro served four years in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Local Union 66 as a carpenter.
Survivors include four children; Lyle (Debbie Dix) Stanbro, Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, Timothy (Sheila Nolan) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Darcy (Michael) Tweedle of Grimsby, Ontario and Lorry (Kirk) Schneider of Forestville, his former wife & friend Ramona Stanbro, three brothers Carl (Roxie) Stanbro, Kenneth (Stella) Stanbro, Douglas (Judy) Stanbro and a sister Janice (Sidney) Ortel. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Adam and Jacob Stanbro, Justin and Nicole Stanbro, Ian and Jocelyn Tweedle, and Alana Schneider. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Richard.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 12 noon in the Forestville Cemetery, Prospect Street, Forestville, with Rev. James D. Hankey, officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at the J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953, Cedar Street, Forestville at 1 PM. Arrangements are by Riles and Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
