FORESTVILLE: Martin D. Kline, Sr., 91, of King Road, Forestville, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 20th, at TLC/HN-Lake Shore Hospital, Irving. He was born in Buffalo, on June 14, 1922, the son of the late William and Pearl (Berger) Kline.
Mr. Kline served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Pfc in WW II, receiving the Bronze Star and many other medals. He worked as a Boilermaker for the former Bethlehem Steel, Corp Lackawanna, for 29 years retiring in 1981. Mr. Kline was a member of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953, Forestville.
Survivors include two daughters Linda (Stan) Jennings, of Hamburg and Charlene Papoi, of Corfu and a son, Martin D. (Hilda) Kline, Jr., of Orchard Park. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Eleanor L. (Robinson) Kline, whom he married March 2, 1946 in the former St. Mary’s Church in Buffalo and who died December 27, 2012 and by a son-in-law Larry Papoi.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm.
