IRVING: Maureen F. Hilliker, 89, of Versailles Road, Irving, died Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Buffalo, on November 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Jefferson Ham and Leora (Cooksey) Ham Bromley.
Maureen was a former member of the Gowanda Moose Lodge #651, Ladies of the Moose and enjoyed camping, crocheting & cooking.
Survivors include two sons Michael A. (Sheryl) Hilliker, of Forestville; and Kelly Hilliker, of Westfield. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Brian (Pamela) Hilliker of Fredonia, Scott Hilliker of Westfield, Molly (James) Bristol of Richmond, VA, Dana (Amanda) Hilliker of Ocala, FL, six great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Allen G. Hilliker, whom she married on October 22, 1949 in St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Silver Creek and who died Jan 1, 2011, four sisters June Greer, Bea Hilliker, Judy Ellison, Betty Bridges, three brothers Jack D. Ham, Charles Ham, Robert Ham, and step brother Norman Bromley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials may be made to either the Silver Creek Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, 162 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, NY 14136 or to Hanover Hose Co. #1, % Steve Peters, 11919 Hanover Road, Silver Creek, NY 14136.
