DELTONA, FL: Frances L. Zolnoske, 84, of Deltona, FL, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was born in Silver Creek on April 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Arthur and Teresa (Christopher) Griffiths. Frances was a graduate of Dunkirk High School and had three brothers; Thomas (Barbara) Griffiths, Donald (Betty) Griffiths and the late John Griffiths. Her sister-in-law Betty died in January of this year.
Frances married her loving husband Paul Zolnoske on October 24, 1958. They were married for 67 years and had four children; Randolph Zolnoske of Deltona, FL, Bonnie (Mike) Murphy of Florida, Terri (David) O’Connor of Forestville and a son Paulie Zolnoske, who passed away at the age of 14, in 1975. She was the very proud grandmother of five grandchildren; Gregory & Eric Murphy, Samantha O’Connor, Amanda (Joshua) Seekings and the late Ryan Murphy, who passed away as an infant in 1988. Also surviving are three great grandchildren; Laura Murphy, and Mason & Kaiden Seekings.
Fran & Paul raised her family in Forestville. They were always seen together spending time with family and friends. Fran always welcomed her family, friends, and her kids friends into her home. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her company, camping, snowmobiling and bingo. In 1991, Fran & Paul moved to Deltona, FL, where they retired and spent time vacationing, having family visits, casino’s and card games. They would return for a couple months during the summer to see family and enjoy music in the parks.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday, August 6th, from 12 – 2 PM from where a Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM with Rev. David Watson, pastor of Sheridan United Methodist Church, officiating. Private interment will be in Forestville Cemetery.
