Forestville: Arlene E. Miller, 93, of Creek Road in Forestville, died Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Dunkirk on October 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Ross) Erick.
Arlene was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1950. She worked as a Secretary at the former Cliffstar in Dunkirk. At one time, Arlene worked at Merritt Winery in Forestville, Purina and the former Roblin & Alumax Steel Plants in Dunkirk.
Arlene was a former member of the Forestville Baptist Church for 70 years and a former member of the Forestville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was currently attending Gage Chapel Community Church in Smith Mills.
Survivors include her loving husband of 75 years, Robert M. Miller, whom she married on October 14, 1950 in the Forestville Baptist Church, five daughters; Deborah “Debbie” Gould, Nancy (James) Waterman, Kathy Coudrey, Bliss (Scott) McClain & Kimberly “Kim” Miller and her son Brett (Heidi) Miller. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son John Miller, a sister Karen Kyle and two brothers Barry A. & Robert James Erick.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 15, 2026 at 11 o’clock from Gage Chapel Community Church, Smith Mills with Rev. Michael Pollock officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Sheridan Center Cemetery.

As a classmate of Kathy and Nancy, I have very fond memories of Mrs. Miller. She was always kind, friendly, and supportive. It was a joy to see her in recent years at the FCS Alumni Luncheons and periodically around town. My sincere condolences go to all Mrs. Miller’s family.

As a child growing up our family’s were close, I have many fond memories of Summer picnic’s, Sunday night dinners, Playing in the old and new barns, Our Dads bailing and raking hay, As well as the yearly Christmas night get togethers, all good times for both family’s, We’re saddened to hear about the passing of Arlene .
