Irving: Jeffrey L. Bissell, 66, of Irving, died Friday, October 3, 2025 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 21, 1958, the son of the late Lawrence and Sarah (Merrick) Bissell.
He was a graduate of Pioneer High School and served in the Air Force. Jeffrey worked as a Forklift Operator for the former Cliffstar Corporation, the former Cott Beverages and Refresco in Dunkirk for approximately 20 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing & doing jig-saw puzzles.
Survivors include wife of 44 years, Katherine (Kohler) Bissell of Irving, whom he married on July 11, 1981 in Forestville, a daughter Jessica Groff, of Rapid City, SD, a son Robert Bissell, of Irving, two sisters LouAnn Conway, of Bel Air, MD and Kim (Mike) Sommers, of Angola. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Trinity Groff and Aidan Mancuso and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Edith Sherwood.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. There will be no funeral services.
