SHERIDAN: Wendy A. Gens, 74, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 at Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab Center, Dunkirk. Wendy was born in Dunkirk on May 28, 1950, daughter of Martha (Ehrke) Gens, of Sheridan and the late Ronald I. Gens.
She worked at Country Fair, Fredonia, for 20 years. Wendy lived with her parents in Sheridan and helped out on the family farm until they moved into town. She loved playing the accordion by ear, very well. Wendy entertained many at family gatherings, church services, the Chautauqua County Home and St. Columban’s. She loved animals and had numerous dogs.
Surviving besides her mother are twin brothers, Monte (Jane) Gens, of Sheridan and Martin Gens, of Humble, TX. Besides her father she was predeceased by a sister Sally (Joe) Aranzullo, a brother John Gens and infant brother Curtis Gens.
Services are private and at the convenience of family.
