SUN CITY CENTER, FL: Darrel Thomas Seeley, 64 of Sun City Center, FL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, August 12th, 2023, after a long courageous adult life as a high functioning quadriplegic. He was born in Gowanda on October 23, 1958, son of Sharon VanVlack Nathan and the late Harvey Emon Seeley.
He was a graduate of the University of Miami in 1998 with a PhD in Law. Darrel was a kind & dedicated individual who loved his family and who was passionate about reading and collecting coins. He was an active and dedicated member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
Surviving besides his mother are a son Christopher (Melissa) Seeley; five sisters Karen Seeley, Terry Brown, Denise Fleck, Deborah Baker and Darlene Dara. Also surviving are two grandchildren Colyn & Gabrielle Seeley, many loved aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held Sunday morning, October 8th at 11 o’clock from the Smith Mills Cemetery, the intersection of Hanover & York Road. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Silver Creek VFW at 1 o’clock. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Darrel’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice.
