JAMESTOWN: Theodore L. “Ted” Terry, 84, of Charles Street, Jamestown, died Monday, September 18th, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Newark, NY on December 25, 1938, the son of the late Amelia Terry.
Ted was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Pattern Maker at the former Monofrax, LLC Falconer, for a total of 35 years, starting his working career with the former Carborundum in Falconer. Ted enjoyed camping, square dancing and short wave radio.
Survivors include his wife Rita M. (Van Natter) Terry of Jamestown, whom he married on July 3, 1959, in the Falconer Baptist Church, five children; Debra Chapman, of Virginia Beach, VA; Sheila Allen, of Ashtabula, OH; Steven Terry, of Jamestown; Mary Reynolds, of Mesa, AZ; and Barbara Butt, of Jamestown. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides his mother he was predeceased by an infant son William David Terry.
Services are private and at the convenience of family.
