GOWANDA: Althea M. Newton, 91, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Miller Street, Gowanda, died Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 at her residence. She was born in the Town of New Albion, NY on August 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Waite) Harvey.
Mrs. Newton enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two sons Russell Newton and Bryan Newton, both of Forestville. Also surviving are one granddaughter Chelsea Newton and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edgar L. Newton, whom she married November 24, 1949 in Randolph and who died October 29, 2014, by 2 brothers Raymond & Larry Harvey, sister Norma Waite and daughter in law Susan Newton.
Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family Villenova Cemetery, Town of Villenova.
