Obituary Notice – Paul F. Trippy

FREDONIA:  Paul F. Trippy, 74, of Newton Street, Fredonia, died Monday, August 9th, 2021 at his residence, following a lengthy illness.  He was born in Westfield, on April 17, 1947, the son of the late Paul C. Trippy and Betty (LaDolce) Egan.

  Paul was a graduate of the former Mayville Central School, Class of 1967 and attended ECC from 1977-1978.  He worked as a Driver for Coach USA, Erie, PA.

  Paul was currently a 51 year member of Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as Past Chief and the first Past President.  He also was the current President of DR Barker Hose Co #1.  At one time he was Secretary, Lieutenant, & Captain of the Fredonia Fire Police and was a past member of Forest Lodge #166 F&AM in Fredonia, Mayville Fire Department and Dunkirk Fire Department.

  Survivors include his wife Karen S. (Burkiewicz) Trippy of Fredonia, whom he married 45 years ago on October 20, 1976, in Dunkirk, two sons Jai (Rachel) Culver-Trippy, of Dunkirk; Paul F. (Cheryl) Trippy, Jr., of Dunkirk; five sisters, Brenda Blakeslee, of Falconer; Janet Wright, of FL; Joann Belcher, of Brocton; Roselle Cash, of Brocton; Brenda Riley, of Jamestown.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Jamison J. (Jacki) Trippy, Hayley (Blake) Middleton, Shania Trippy, Paul F. Trippy, III, Reese E. Trippy, Madison F. Trippy, Bette K. Trippy and Charlotte K. Trippy,  six great grandchildren; Landon Trippy, Raegan L. Middleton, Jace A. Turner, Chevelyn Trippy, Adelyn Middleton, Tayvon Trippy and several nieces & nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by two sons, Robert P. Trippy, Jamison J. Trippy, Sr., a brother Richard Trippy and a sister Barbara Trippy.

  Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 4-8 PM from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock with Robert Hayward, Fredonia Fire Department Chaplain, officiating.

  A Fireman’s Service will be conducted Friday evening at 7:30 by members of the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department.
