Obituary Notice- Wilma J. Newcomb

SOUTH DAYTON:  Wilma J. Newcomb, 88, of Maple Street, South Dayton, died Saturday, February 4th, at TLC/HN-Nursing Facility, Irving.  She was born in Cherry Creek, on August 5, 1923, the daughter of the late George W. and Iva (Halstead) Priest.
Mrs. Newcomb worked as a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in South Dayton, for 23 years.  She and her late husband, Lester E. Newcomb, who died July 1, 1985, at one time also owned & operated a dairy farm in South Dayton.
Survivors include two sons Edwin L. (Susan) Newcomb, of Forestville and Gene A. Newcomb, of South Dayton.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a grandson Christopher Newcomb, by 5 brothers Herbert, Walter, Morris, George Jr. & Allen Priest and by a sister Gladys Pecoraro.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday morning from 9-11 o’clock, from where Funeral Services will follow at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating.  Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Villenova Cemetery, South Dayton.
