Obituary Notice – Howard P. Richardson

RichardsonHFORESTVILLE:  Howard P. Richardson, 86, of Mixer Road Forestville, died Thursday, October 22nd, 2015, at his residence, following a short illness.  He was born in the Town of Charlotte on May 22, 1929, the son of the late Bert and Dorothy (Farnham) Richardson.

Mr. Richardson was a life-long Truck Driver who owned & operated the former HPR Trucking and completed his career working for Benchley Contracting & Rental Corp., Silver Creek.  He was an avid hunter & fisherman, NY Yankee & Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, enjoyed his family & grandchildren and will be sadly missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis M. (Compton) Richardson, of Forestville, whom he married March 30, 1953, in Elko, Nevada, a son, Gary (Lori) Richardson, of Dunkirk, three daughters, Anne (Bruce) Quackenbush, of Cassadaga, Wendy Bird, of Sheridan, Patty (Steve) Arnold, of Fredonia, a sister, Ellyn (Robert) Sutehall, of Angola and a brother, Lee Richardson, of Arizona.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces & nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by 4 sisters Carol Fafinski, Joyce Richardson, Shirley Mellor, Lucile Chesbro and 2 brothers Ernest & Wayne Richardson.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Sunday from 4-8 pm from where Funeral Services will be held Monday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Foerstville United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery.

    I work at Walmart as cashier. I have cashed Howard and his wife out alot. great couple, so sad to hear he passed. Really enjoyed those 2 , my prayers go out to his wife and family.
