PERRYSBURG: Janet F. Hans, 82, of West Perrysburg Road, Perrysburg, passed away Friday, November 7th, 2014 at Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, following a short illness. She was born in Jamestown on October 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Chester and Florece (Blood) Wickmark.
She attended the former Cherry Creek School, worked as an Attendant for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg, for 5 years and she also co-owned Leo & Janet Hans Fruit Farms, Perrysburg and the former Perrysburg Tavern. Mrs. Hans was a member of the Gowanda Moose #1382 and the Perrysburg Firemens Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, cooking for family gatherings, her flower gardens, mowing both her lawn & the campsite and spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband Leo O. Hans of Perrysburg, four daughters, Judy (Matt) Johnston, of Little Valley, Patricia Hilliman, of South Dayton, Deborah (Mike) McLaughlin, of Zephyrhills, FL, Cynthia VanEns, of Buffalo, three sons Fred (Linda) Hilliman, of Conewango Valley, Barry (Mary) Hilliman, of Valley Grande, AL, Leo Paul Hans, of Seffner, FL, two brothers, Warren (Mary) Wickmark, of PA, Bradley (Janet) Wickmark, of Cattaraugus and a sister Aleda (Jim) Hannon, of Lakewood. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son Martin Hilliman and a brother Norm Wickmark.
There will be no visitation observed. Memorial Services will be held Saturday morning, November 15th at 11 o’clock from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Dawn Quesnberry, pastor of the United Methodist Churches of Delevan and Protection, officiating.
