My sincere condolences on your loss. Janet was a colleague for many years as we both taught 5th grade. As I was both Erik and Laura’s 5th grade teacher, I also experienced firsthand her support and dedication to her children. I haven’t seen that much of her since we both retired except that our paths crossed a couple of times at my church rummage sale. Our conversation revealed her deep love and interest in her grandsons. I am so happy for her that she had that important experience. She was a lovely, intelligent, dedicated and caring woman whom I know will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to Frank, Erik, Laura and your families.

Dear Frank, Eric, and Laura,
I was saddened to read that Janet had been ill and has since passed. Although we both taught at Silver Creek, it was at different levels so our paths didn’t cross daily. However, I respected her as a colleague who sought to provide her students with quality instruction. I didn’t get to know Janet on a more personal level until after we both retired. I enjoyed the times we got together with other retirees for lunch and family catch ups. Janet was so proud of both Eric’s and Laura’s achievements. She was happy to share the new joys of her family. It was also wonderful to hear about the experiences of her travels. I am sorry that I won’t be able to make visiting hours or her funeral, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hard though it may be for you all at this time, my belief is that Janet is at peace in a wonderful place.

Thank you to Janet and her husband for giving us Erik. He is our OCSO conductor and we are the lucky recipients of his human nature through the universal language of music.
