LA PORTE, IN: Frank Joseph Mancuso, Sr., 59, of La Porte, IN, formerly of Fredonia, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Hanover, NY, on January 17, 1966, the son of the late Gillis and Shirley (Austin) Mancuso, Jr.
Frank proudly served in the US Army and was self-employed as an owner/operator at F & L Trucking, Inc. (Frank and LeeRoy). He will be fondly remembered by his family for having a master’s degree at life!
Family was Frank’s #1 priority. He strived to always make everyone around him feel welcomed and comfortable. Frank was a true, “gentle giant” and dearly loved his family.
Survivors include his children, Joshua (Tiffany) Mancuso of Dewittville, Derick (Allie) Nesvold of New Carlisle, IN, Frank Mancuso, Jr. of South Bend, IN, Sam (Josh) Wozniak of La Porte, IN and Zach (Jannae) Mancuso of Medaryville, IN, sisters Deborah Thomas of Buffalo, LouAnne (Dr. Paul) Lundgren of Lebanon, NH, April (Robert) Smith of Silver Creek, Danita (Bruce) Harrison of North Tonawanda, Tammy Rettig of South Dayton, Juli Mancuso of Locust Grove, VA, brothers Rev. Dennis Mancuso of Franklinville and Anthony (Gina) Mancuso of Geneseo. Also surviving are his best friend and love of his life Tracy L. Layton of La Porte, IN, eleven grandchildren; Jonathon, Josephine, Wynton, Rohen, Cooper, Colton, Walden, Theodore, Delilah, Jameson and Scarlet as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Gillis Joseph Mancuso, III and a grandson Caden Mancuso.
Friends may call at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN on Thursday morning, June 19, 2025, from 10am-1pm, from where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 o’clock with Rev. Dennis Mancuso, brother of the deceased, officiating. Interment will follow at Kingsbury Cemetery, La Port, IN with Military Honors.
