WESTFIELD: Karen L. Logan, 66, a resident of Absolut Care of Westfield, formerly of Forestville & Silver Creek, passed away Monday, June 10th, 2024 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her devoted daughters. She was born in Silver Creek the daughter of the late Leon Hegner and Dolores (White) Valvo.
Karen was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1975 and worked as a Home Health Aide for Chautauqua Opportunities Dunkirk, for over 20 years, where she dedicated her caring to others and her compassion and commitment touched countless lives. She enjoyed crafting & sewing.
Survivors include two daughters, Penelope Schneider-Smith, Quintina Willis, two sisters, Nancy Smith, Donna Sutter, and two brothers, George Hegner, Ronald Hegner. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Gabby Rivera, Alexander Warren, Vivian Willis, Savannah Willis, three nieces & three nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her stepfather Carmello “Carl” B. Valvo and an infant brother Robert Hegner.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 1 to 3 PM from where Funeral Services will follow at 3 PM, with Rev. Michael Leamon officiating.
