Greensboro, NC: Geraldine U. Piede passed away peacefully Friday, October 20th, 2023 in Greensboro, NC at the age of 96. She was born on July 30, 1927, the first child of the late Wesley and Violet (Sweet) Langworthy of Forestville. She lived most of her life in Silver Creek. Geraldine’s love of family, gentle kindness and caring touched all she knew.
She leaves as her legacy her children Duane L. (Joanne) Piede, of Walworth, NY; James P. (Edda) Piede, of Palm Coast, FL; Pamela Piede Surber, of Greensboro, NC and a brother, Richard (Mary) Langworthy, of Sheridan. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchild and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Louis A. Piede, and her sister Jeanine Snyder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 4th at 11 o’clock from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery Silver Creek. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to combat macular degeneration at brightfocus.org.
