FORESTVILLE: Marjorie Ann Miller, 86, of South Roberts Road, Forestville, died Friday, October 28th, 2022 at Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab Center, Dunkirk, following a short illness. She was born in Dunkirk on August 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Nelson and Matilda (Guggemos) White.
Marjorie was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s Catholic School, Dunkirk, Class of 1954. She worked for the former Candyland in Dunkirk and the former Goldberg Insurance, and after raising her children, as a Secretary for Dialysis at Brooks Memorial Hospital Dunkirk, for 19 years, where she went beyond her responsibilities and assisted many other people with their needs. Marjorie was a member of Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Rose of Lima Church, Forestville.
She was the mother of nine children; Paul V. Miller, Jr., Jeff (Jackie) Miller, Douglas (Holly) Miller, Gary (Anne) Miller, Andrew (Kait) Miller, Mary Jo (James) Travis, Cheryl (Pat) Burns, Anne (Chris Mooney) Miller, sister of Linda (Paul) DeMarco and Joseph (Kathy) White. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, over twenty great grandchildren and over sixty nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Paul V. Miller, whom she married 68 years ago on November 27, 1954 in the former Sacred Heart RC Church, Dunkirk and who died July 2, 2022 and a son Martin “Marty” Miller, who died on February 15, 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 7th at 10 o’clock from Faith Community of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, 165 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, with Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn officiating. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum, Holy Trinity Cemetery, Dunkirk, NY.
The family suggests memorials may be made either to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505. Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home. Forestville.
