FORESTVILLE, NY: It is with heavy hearts that we share with you that on this day, September 13, 2021, LaVern Huepenbecker, age 61, passed away from the Coronavirus infection, surrounded by loved ones.
He spent his life perfecting his trade, flour milling, and shared that life with his loving wife of 41 years, Dawn. LaVern was also a devoted father of two sons, Dane (Megan) and Logan (Lindsay) and a proud grandfather of Cole & Abby.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing, along with spending time at home with his wife and rescue dogs. LaVern’s spirit will live on through his surviving family and extended family. He will remain forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 1-4 pm at the Dutcher Luncheon Facility, 430 W. Chicago Street, Coldwater, Michigan.
We ask friends & family to consider sharing stories about LaVern as we have all found comfort in such reflections through our grief. Lunch will be provided and dress for the event is casual.
In the interest of public safety, face masks are encouraged to be worn, but are not required within the venue and seating within the venue will be arranged to allow for social distancing. Rubber wrist bands will be provided upon entry to be worn by whomever wishes to avoid close personal contact (i.e. hugs, etc.). We ask our guests to be mindful of each other’s wishes while we honor LaVern’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to your local animal shelters. To post condolences or memories go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.
