Cathy and family, I wish I could come up with some magic words that would make you feel better, but we know that’s just not possible. I will say, though, that my very best wishes are with you and the kids. May time be a cushion to help you through this, Cathy. God bless you and the children.

Jim’s devotion to, and love of, his family and community were always evident. His friendliness and sense of humor shall be greatly missed. We all try, but words cannot fully express that which we are all feeling at this time, for we all share in your loss. To the Kaicher family, we extend our prayers and best wishes to each of you.

    Dear Cathy, Caroline, Julie, Luke:

I am shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved husband and father, Jim. You were so kind, thoughtful, and comforting to me as my husband slipped away 3 months ago and never did I think it would be happening to you, as well. Please remember that God is always near. God keeps his promises so keep the following verse close to your heart–Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” I will be praying for your family. Love, Janet Fisher Olson

Dear Cathy, Caroline, Julia and Luke, Mrs. Kaicher and family,
I so wish I could be there with you. I cherish my memories of Jim as a neighbor and friend, and caring support for me at times. His generosity toward me and my daughter Alissa, and even my dogs, are wonderful memories. When we talked it was always a great experience. I am glad Jim and I got to have a long conversation at New Years this past year. My heart is with you all. I hold you all in Love and Peace. Tessa

    Dear Kaicher Family,

There are no words. We are so sorry for the loss of Jimmy. You have lost a wonderful man who wore many hats — beloved son, husband, brother, father, friend, neighbor, coworker… Louis and I can vividly recall meeting Jimmy, Cathy and his gorgeous triplets at Mrs. Kaicher’s birthday party a few years ago back in White Plains. Jimmy and his clan had just moved back to NY (Buffalo) and it was a terrific day filled with lots of love. Please know that you are all being carried in prayer and cradled in love by many near and far. Big hug and much love always, The O’Toole McIntyre Clan, White Plains, NY

    Cathy,

I am so very sorry for your loss. I’ve communicated with so many of the Kaicher men from Germany; they all seem to pass away at an early age. My brother, Jim (James) passed away last year at age 52. My heart goes out to you and your family.

it certainly isnt the greatest track record. Which branch of the family are you from? Are you the guy who did the family tree history 30 years ago?

Having the honor of serving with Jim in Central America in the USAF in the early 1980’s, I got to know the man very well as his roommate for almost six months. He left a positive impression on me and I shall never forget the man and his legendary deeds in the Republic of Panama. I owe the man a great debt, because he helped keep me alive with his unconventional sense of humor and his incredible propensity to snub authority. I will never forget you Jim.
