DUNKIRK: Wilma M. Keith, 91, a resident of the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, formerly of Brocton, died Thursday, May 3rd, at her residence. She was born in Silver Creek on December 4, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Bertha (West) Wilkes.
Mrs. Keith was a graduate of Forestville High School, Class of 1938. She moved to Brocton, where she resided for many years before moving to Dunkirk. Mrs. Keith worked as an Instructor for the former Barmon’s Dress Factory in Westfield and worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former Niagara Manufacturing Co. Brocton, retiring in 1979. She was a past member of the former Mary Martha Missionary Society in Brocton and was an avid sewer and enjoyed making crafts.
Survivors include a sister, Irene Van Rensselaer, of Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, nephews David Van Rensselaer, Richard Van Rensselaer & Robert (Cynthia) Van Rensselaer, great niece Melody Leeper, special friend Linda Dieteman and several more nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Archie S. Keith, Sr., whom she married November 23, 1940 in Brocton and who died July 14, 1986 and by an infant son Archie S. Keith, Jr. who died February 6, 1958.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday morning from 10 – 11 o’clock, from where Funeral Services will follow at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating. Private Interment will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Portland.
