DUNKIRK:  Joan E. Holl, 86, a resident of Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab, Dunkirk, formerly of Forestville died Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty (Cramer) DeGrasse.

Joan worked as a Ladies Locker Room Attendant for Wanakah Country Club, Hamburg, for 7 years.  She previously worked for the Holiday Inn in Altoona, PA as head waitress and worked in Home Care in the Derby & Angola area.  Joan didn’t have it easy in this life.  That being said, she always kept a kind and loving heart.  She worked very hard until she was stricken with RA, her case was most severe.  In spite of that, she made many beautiful paintings and lovely crafts that she shared with everyone.  Joan also loved writing poetry and was a very giving woman.  She will be greatly missed and beyond measure, forever loved!

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann (Clinton) Nagel, of Forestville; Kathleen Holl, of Hudson Valley, NY; and a brother, Claude DeGrasse, of Arizona.  Also surviving are four grandchildren- Clinton (Kristina) Nagel, Allen (Jennifer) Nagel, Grace (Jim) Spell, Desiree (Brad) Gildner, six great grandchildren- Caleb, Neviah, Asher, Eli, Ezra, Aria and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant great grandson Ian Nagel, three brothers Robert, Richard & Jack DeGrasse and a sister Patricia Weiner.

Due to COVID restrictions, services will be at a later date.  Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Lakeside Cemetery, Town of Hamburg.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.  To post condolences or memories go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.
