IRVING: Willis P. Small, 91, of Rts 5 & 20 Irving, died Friday, December 7th, 2018 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a short illness. He was born in the Town of Hanover on October 13, 1927, the son of the late Willis J. and Sara (Kinney) Small.
Mr. Small served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked as a Welder Repair for the Ford Stamping Plant, Woodlawn, for 40 years and also owned & operated his own welding business. Mr. Small enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling in a motorhome, riding his Harley Davidson, went to Ireland and loved his dogs “Max” & Noble”.
Survivors include three daughters, Paulette Barreca, of Sheridan; Patricia (Bob Wilcox) Small, of Titusville, FL; and Kathleen Small, of Bradford, MA. Also surviving are two grandchildren Nicole Barreca & Jason (Jamie) Barreca, two great grandchildren Jacob & Sophia and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Olive R. (McClenathan) Small whom he married on October 16, 1948 in Irving and who died February 11, 2017, three brothers John, David & Robert Small and a sister “Betty” Raczka.
Services are private and at the convenience of family. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Town of Hanover.
