Obituary Notice – Kenneth D. Kellogg

kelloggkSILVER CREEK:  Kenneth D. Kellogg, 71, of Newton Street, Silver Creek, died Wednesday, January 4th, 2017, at Buffalo General Hospital, following a short illness.  He was born in Bradford, PA on July 5, 1945, the son of the late Robert W. and Lillian R. (Merritt) Kellogg.

He was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1963 and worked for the New York State Police in the Fredonia Barracks as a BCI Investigator, retiring after 35 years of service.  Mr. Kellogg enjoyed boating and his dog “Lucy”.

Survivors include his wife Diana M. (Raczka) Kellogg of Silver Creek, whom he married on June 20, 1964, in Silver Creek, two daughters, Cheryl (Donald) Malysza, of West Seneca; Christine Stratton, of Canisteo; a son, Michael (Kelly) Kellogg, of Lancaster; and a brother, Larry (Pam) Kellogg, of Silver Creek.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Robert Kellogg.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday evening, from 6-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, officiating.

The family suggests memorials may be made either to Silver Creek Fire Dept. Emergency & Rescue Squad, 162 Central Avenue, Silver Creek, NY 14136 or to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut Street, Dunkirk, NY 14048.  To post condolences go to www.rilesandwoolleyfuneralhome.com.

    My deepest condolences on your loss. Please know that Kenneth was a highly
    respected investigator. I had the pleasure of speaking with him several
    times during his career. I hope that God heals your pain as you cope with
    the loss.
