FORESTVILLE: Wanda P. Sobczak, 80, of Rt. 83, Forestville, died unexpectedly, Monday, September 19th, 2016 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. She was born in Jamestown, on December 9, 1935, the daughter of the late Donald R. and Devine J. (Palmberg) Holmes.
Mrs. Sobczak was a graduate of Cassadaga Central School and a member of the Dunkirk Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and the Senior Citizens. Mrs. Sobczak enjoyed a good mystery book and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband Robert F. Sobczak, of Forestville, whom she married on July 3, 1963, in the First United Presbyterian Church, Silver Creek, three daughters, Susan (Tom) Heinrich, of North Carolina; Lynn Napieralski, of Florida; and Michele Sobczak, of Forestville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by an infant sister Janet Holmes.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday from 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. James D. Hankey, pastor of the Forestville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Cowdens Corners Cemetery, Town of Arkwright.
