Obituary Notice – Phyllis R. Paul

PaulPFREDONIA: Phyllis R. Paul, 86, a resident of WCA Home, Temple Street, Fredonia, formerly of New York Avenue, Dunkirk & Forestville, died Sunday, June 26th, 2016.  She was born in the Town of Villenova, on September 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Vincent and Ruth (Danker) Crowell.

Mrs. Paul was a graduate of the former South Dayton High School and worked as a Head Cook for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg, for 28 years.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church Dunkirk and also a member of the Red Hat Society.  Mrs. Paul loved reading, sewing, traveling and especially her dog “Princess”.

Survivors include a son, David (Sue) Polisoto, of Albion; a daughter, Diane (Deb) Aylor-Polisoto, of Lewes, DE; a step son, Dennis (Gina) Paul, two step daughters, Marianne (Robert) John and Maureen (David) Wofford and a brother, Norton Crowell, of Cherry Creek.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gordon Paul, a step son Michael Paul, 3 brothers Donald, Harley & Laurence Crowell and by a sister Barbara Ann Morales.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM from where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Helen Sam and Rev. Yvonne Fancher, Associate Rectors of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, Dunkirk, officiating.  Interment will follow in Villenova Cemetery, Town of Villenova.
