FORESTVILLE: Fay M. Carmelitano, 73, of Prospect Road, Forestville, died Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, following a short illness. She was born in Peekskill, NY on February 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Alfred and Norma (Hadden) Strosser. Mrs. Carmelitano worked as a Bus Driver for Forestville Central School and also previously drove bus for Wappinger Falls School District in Wappinger Falls, NY for 21 years and Chappaqua District for 6 years. She, at one time, also worked for a Curler Factory. Mrs. Carmelitano enjoyed knitting & crocheting blankets, doing puzzles and making handmade Christmas balls.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Patrick) Hurley, Sharon (Robert) Gladman, two sons Anthony “Edward” (Susan) Pecora, Jr.Luke Payntar, Jr. a twin sister Florence (Sonny) Conklin, three brothers, Dennis (Pam) Strosser, Gary (Shari) Strosser and Brian (Lori) Strosser. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren Jacqueline, Jessica & Patrick Hurley, Krystal & Anthony Pecora, III, Janine & Brittany Rosenthal and Brandon & Christian Gladman, 5 great grandchildren Camron, Brooke, Jayden, Jacob & Bentley and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by 3 husbands, Anthony Pecora, Sr., Luke Payntar, Sr. and Joseph F. Carmelitano and by 2 brothers Jim & Wayne Strosser.
There will be no visitation observed. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Dennis’s Cemetery, Hopewell Junction, NY.
