FORESTVILLE: Dorothy E. Mache’, 95, of South Roberts Road, Forestville, died Sunday, December 28th, 2014, at Brooks Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. She was born in Buffalo on December 15, 1919, the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Hassinger) Thomas.
Mrs. Mache was a graduate of Hutch Tech High School, a graduate of Buffalo State Teachers College, with an Art Degree and acquired a 5 yr. course at the Albright Knox Art Gallery. She and her late husband Joseph H. Mache, Jr., whom she married on March 10, 1946, were instrumental in starting the Church of All Nations and the Hong Kong International School, both in Hong Kong, where she taught Art for many years. When they retired, they moved to Fredonia and became Grape Farmers. Mrs. Mache was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fredonia and loved family, church and her friends at the “Tim Horton’s Breakfast Club”.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacquelyn (Dennis) Mulkin, of Forestville, three sons Paul (Lauren) Mache, of Indiana, Eric (Melanie) Mache, of Long Island City, NY, Robert (Candace) Mache, of Memphis, TN and a sister, Ruth Carr, of Buffalo. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Robert Schroeter, Scott (JoBeth) Schroeter, Rachel (Cord) Scott, Jocelyn (Scott) Ernsberger & Vivian Mache, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by a brother John Mache.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple Street, Fredonia, on Saturday, at 11 o’clock, with Rev. William Novack, pastor officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Cheektowaga.

I could never ask for a more loving, faith filled compassionate mother-in-love Than Dorothy Mache. She was talented, willing to share, and always a partner in prayer.
