FORESTVILLE: Edmund C. Kujawa, 80, of Route 39, Forestville, died Wednesday, August 27th, 2014, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born in the Town of Sheridan, on February 23, 1934, the son of the late Casimer W. and Belle (Przybylski) Kujawa.
He was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1953, worked as a Bus Driver & Mechanic for Silver Creek Central School for 20 years, retiring in 2009 and he also owned & operated a Dairy & Grape Farm in Forestville, for 20 years. During which, he served as President for Hollisville Milk Co-op, Board Director for Upstate Milk Co-op and Milk for Health. Mr. Kujawa was a social member of Sheridan VFW Memorial Post #6390 and an Honorary Life Member of Lake Shore Marine Club.
Survivors include his wife Mary L. (Panek) Kujawa of Forestville, whom he married on November 10, 1956, in the former St. John Bosco RC Church, Sheridan, a daughter, Cynthia (Thomas Kingsley) Kujawa, of Forestville and two sisters, Theresa Warner & Florence Gage, both of Forestville. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother John Kujawa and a sister Dorothy Cross.
There will be no visitation observed. Graveside Services will be held Saturday afternoon, September 6th, at 1 o’clock in the Sheridan Center Cemetery, Center Road, Sheridan, with Rev. William Leslie officiating. Please bring a special picture or remembrance if you have one. A Memorial gathering will follow at the Sheridan VFW Memorial Post #6390 at 2 o’clock.
