Obituary Notice- Darlene V. Ortel

DUNKIRK:  Darlene V. Ortel, 76, a resident of the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk, formerly of Bartlett Hill Road, South Dayton & 1 Temple Square, Fredonia, died Wednesday, at her residence, following a short illness.  She was born in Gowanda on August 11, 1936, the daughter of the late Floyd and Adeline (Heim) Valentine.

Mrs. Ortel worked as a Health Care Worker for the former JN Adam Developmental Center, Perrysburg.  She was a former member of the Forestville Chapter Order of Eastern Star #247.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky Pfleuger LeBarron, of South Dayton, Brenda Bentley, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Bonnie (Eugene) Wistner, of New Port Richey, FL and a sister, Marilyn Crowell, of South Dayton.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Besides her parents she was predeceased by 5 brothers, Loren, Marvin, Norman, Lester and LaVerne Valentine and by 3 sisters Lenore Lucas, Byrle Hahn and Audrey Grey.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral Services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock, from the Forestville Wesleyan Church, Prospect Road, Forestville, with Rev. Bruce M. Ellis, pastor officiating.  Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J.
