CASSADAGA: Michael Paul Austin, 46, of Cassadaga, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, due to heart conditions. He was born in Dunkirk on May 17, 1980, the son of Robert and Shirley (Levandoski) Austin of Cassadaga.
Michael attended Cassadaga Valley Central School and worked as a Farm Mechanic at the former Meadowlark Dairy in Sinclairville with his late brother Robert. He was an auxiliary member of the Pine Valley VFW Post 2522 in Cherry Creek. Michael was a “Mr. Fix-It” who loved tinkering and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving besides his parents are two daughters; Taylor & Jordan Austin, two sons; Connor & Prestyn Austin, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents; Burton & Ruth Austin and Joseph & Ada Levandoski, his brother Robert J. Austin who died August 23, 2024 and his uncles Eli, Stanley & Brian.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday, July 15 from 2-4 and 7-8:30 PM from where Prayer Services will follow at 8:30 PM with Rev. Michael Pollock, pastor of Gage Chapel Community Church, Smith Mills, officiating.
