Obituary Notice – Jason R. Grube

Silver Creek: Jason R. Grube, 57, of Silver Creek, formerly of Portage, IN, died Friday, January 23, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Gary, IN on May 2, 1968, the son of Sandra (Coles) Grube of Valparaiso, IN and the late John Grube.

  Jason worked as an Iron Worker for Iron Workers Local #395 in Portage, IN for 20 years and as a Manager for Shay’s Furniture in Portage, IN. He served in the Army and was a member of Sheridan Memorial VFW Post #6390. Jason loved animals, nature & gardening.

  Surviving besides his mother are his life partner Ke-Khee Greenough of Silver Creek, a son Joseph Grube, and a sister Cassidy (Kenneth) Morgan. Also surviving are his maternal grandfather William J. Coles of Muskegon, MI and two nephews; Elijah & Ian. Besides his father he was predeceased by a stepson Bobby Lee Yaus.

  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Indiana.
