DUNKIRK: Franklin W. Matney, 73, of Swan Street, Dunkirk, passed away Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at Buffalo General Medical Center. He was born in Silver Creek on December 22, 1950, the son of the late William and Josephine (Porpiglia) Matney.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly (Brad) Fanale, Jenna L. Matney, a sister, Janice (Robert) Manning, and a brother, Donald (Judy) Matney. Also surviving are his previous wife & current companion Bonnie F. Orchard seven grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from the Samuel Cimino VFW Post, 13 N. Main Street, Silver Creek at 2 o’clock.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, 319 Washington Avenue Dunkirk, NY 14048. Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
