SILVER CREEK: Shirley K. Burau, 74, of Andrus Circle, Silver Creek, passed away Thursday, August 15th, 2024 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA. She was born in Westfield on February 8, 1950, the daughter of the late Nelson and Gladys (Kelsey) McBratnie.
Shirley was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, Class of 1969 and loved to sew, make crafts and go shopping.
Survivors include her husband John Burau of Silver Creek, whom she married on November 9, 1978, in Silver Creek, a daughter, Tina Burau, of Silver Creek and a grandchild Zander Sprague. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials may be made to Special Olympics of New York, Inc., 2821 Wehrle Drive, #7 Williamsville, NY 14221.
