GOWANDA: Ellen M. Weller, 93, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Miller Street, Gowanda, formerly of South Dayton and Hamburg, died Monday, July 9th, at her residence. She was born in Bay City, MI on June 19, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Sadie Martin.
Mrs. Weller worked as an Assistant Manager for the former Wurster Hardware, Hamburg, for 15 years. She enjoyed her family, flowers, gardening and dogs & cats.
Survivors include a daughter, Marily (Albert) Butcher, of South Dayton, 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James G. Weller, whom she married November 20, 1939 in Hamburg, by a son Paul T. Weller, by a brother Chester Martin and 4 other brothers.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning, at 10 o’clock, with Rev. Bethany Ruane, pastor of South Dayton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Prospect Lawn Cemetery, Hamburg.
