ERIE, PA:  Edward A. Davis, 89, a resident of Erie VA CLL, Erie, PA, formerly of Mayville, passed away Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at his residence. He was third child of Benjamin and Helen Davis of Brainard Road, Fredonia.

  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from February 13, 1951 to November 18, 1953 and was stationed in Korea.  Ed moved several times and each time he moved, he would join a local Veteran’s organization.  He was a life member of the James W. Dill American Legion Post #434 Brocton, Westfield VFW Post #6764 and the Mayville VFW Post #8647.  Ed loved his country and served proudly.  He loved being a member in these organizations, allowing him to help his community.  Ed loved to hunt & fish.

  Survivors include two daughters, Tracy Apa, of Harbor Creek, PA; Sharon Stoddard, of Sherman, NY; a sister, Shirley Crowell Huff, of Collins, NY; and a brother, Oliver (Irene) Davis, of South Dayton.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and twenty six great grandchildren.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Michael, a brother Paul Davis, a sister Norma Crimi, one grandchild, two nephews, a niece and a great nephew.

  A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, August 6th, 2022 at 2 o’clock in the Cowdens Corners Cemetery, (corner of Rt. 83 & Miller Road) Town of Arkwright.
