WESTFIELD:  Richard C. Majkowski, 88, a resident of Absolut Care of Westfield, formerly of Hamburg & Forestville, died Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at his residence following a short illness.  He was born in Buffalo, on August 9, 1932, the son of the late Henry and Jennie (Czarnecki) Majkowski.

  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and worked for the former Al-Tech Specialty Steel Dunkirk.  Richard was a member of the Hamburg VFW Post #1419.

  Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline (Dennis Wilcox) Kulpa, of Silver Creek; Cynthia (Steve) Lawrie, of Dunkirk; Brenda Lee (Jeff) Leone, of Fredonia; a sister, Jennie Majkowski and a brother, Alvin (Elsie) Majkowski.  Also surviving are four grandsons, 1 granddaughter and many great grandchildren.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by two sisters Charlene Majkowski and Sandra Armstrong, three brothers Henry, Eugene & Donald Majkowski and son-in-law Henry “Barney” Kulpa.  Services are private and at the convenience of family.  Memorials in his memory may be made to the Sheridan VFW Memorial Post #6390, Rt. 20, Sheridan, NY 14135.

    I have such great memories when we got to spend time at Richies house as a kid with my dad and mom. Prayers to Jackie, Brenda, Cindy and the whole family. Thank you for your service Richie.
