SILVER CREEK: Phyllis Kohler, 80, of Monroe Street, Silver Creek, died Friday, February 5th, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA, following COVID induced pneumonia. She was born in Brocton, on June 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Giordano) Syracuse.
John A. “Jack” Kohler, 91, of Silver Creek, passed away at his home with family by his side, Thursday, April 22nd, 2021. He was born in Silver Creek, on August 21, 1929, the son of the late George and Emma (Yonker) Kohler, Sr.
Survivors include two sons John T. (Bethany) Kohler, Andrew C. (Genesis) Kohler, and a daughter, Melinda (Michael) Johnson. Also surviving are Phyllis’ brother, Thomas (Stella) Syracuse, three grandchildren John Joseph Kohler, Michael Wyatt Johnson and Quinlan Jack Kohler, three great grandchildren Roan, Rorik & Jace, and nieces & nephews James, Jacque, Cindy & Marc.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11 o’clock from the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 633 Church Street, Farnham, NY.
Private interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Silver Creek.
Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

Jack and Phyllis were a true love story. They were devoted to each other, their family and friends and to community service.
They touched and served so many lives in Silver Creek and throughout the area. Their legacy will long be remembered.
I was sorry to miss the celebration honoring them.
